Pavel joined K4 as a Construction Manager shortly after graduating from university. More than two decades later, he now leads the Project Management Division. Over the years, he has gained hands-on experience across a wide range of projects, from industrial facilities and shopping centres to complex hospital developments.
Although the world around us is constantly changing and technology continues to evolve, Pavel believes that the foundations of every successful project remain the same: openness, integrity, and the ability to communicate.
"After many years at K4, I've come to understand how investors, designers, and contractors each view a project. I've learned what matters to every party involved, and I've realised that while the challenges on both large and small construction projects are often similar, the key to solving them always comes down to people."

Project management is a constant stream of unexpected variables. You might expect everything to run smoothly in an industry full of highly educated professionals, but reality often proves otherwise.
"That's exactly what motivates me, finding solutions where things get stuck. Our services are valuable because construction isn't just about schedules and spreadsheets. It's about coordinating different people, personalities, and countless moving parts," Pavel explains.
What Pavel appreciates most about K4 is that it's made up of the right people. Even though the company has grown significantly and colleagues are now working on projects across the country, the friendly atmosphere and strong team spirit remain unchanged.
For Pavel, the fact that most clients return to K4 for future projects is the strongest proof that the team is doing things right. After all, dissatisfied clients rarely come back or recommend you to others.
Outside of work, Pavel enjoys spending time with his colleagues whenever his schedule and health allow, whether it's skiing, cycling, badminton tournaments, or the company's popular sports afternoons. And when his golfing colleagues head to the course, he jokes that he joins them "to look for lost golf balls."
According to Pavel, sport has taught him discipline, but above all, fairness.
"Both professionally and personally, I try to be open, honest, and fair. I expect the same from my colleagues. In our division, a handshake still means something. If we agree on something, we stick to it, even if it's never written down."
Earlier in his career, Pavel focused primarily on experience and technical expertise. Over time, his priorities have evolved.
Technical skills are still important, but today he values attitude just as highly. He's looking for people who genuinely want to work, enjoy collaborating with others, and want to be part of a team. If someone has that mindset and a background in the industry, Pavel believes the team environment will naturally help them grow and develop the skills they need.
"We offer younger colleagues the support and guidance of experienced professionals. In return, we're excited to learn from them and discover new technologies and ways of working that we may not have encountered ourselves. The most important thing is not to be afraid to communicate. Honest conversations and mutual trust are irreplaceable in our industry and, really, in life as a whole."
The result is an experienced, stable team that's always happy to welcome new talent. If you're passionate about what you do, enjoy working with others, and believe in fair play, you'll feel right at home at K4. Take a look at our current vacancies and join us.
